Lizz And The
Kevin Bacon Game
By now, you've probably heard of "The Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon" or "The Kevin Bacon Game". The purpose of this game is that Kevin Bacon has starred in many, many films, so it might be easy to link stars of other films to Bacon films. Or, as the Bacon game Official Website puts it, it is "based on the theory that Kevin Bacon is the center of the entertainment universe". (Yikes!) For more info, you can check out the official Bacon Game webpage at www.bacongame.com. (But just by looking at the examples given on this page, you'll pretty much get the hang of it.)

So you might say to yourself, "Could Lizz Winstead be linked to Kevin Bacon, too?"

I was waiting to put this info that I have received up sooner, but I might as well take care of it now. Lizz has agreed to do an interview with me. I sent her some questions, and she returned answers to half of them. She came across this Bacon page, and gave me some info regarding her now-known movie career, this is why I'm telling you about this interview we have planned. I hope to have it up as soon as she answers the other questions; by waiting, it's a good sign, means she's busy, on a project, perhaps. Well, if I don't get the other questions soon, I might put up only the questions that she answered, and add the others soon afterward...

Oh yeah, here's what she has to say:

Oddly enough I did an independent film a couple of years ago in which I ended up on the cutting room floor. It was called "Burnsys Last Call" and starred David Johanssen, Sherry Stringfield, (sic) and Chris Noth so I technically do qualify because I was in the movie with David Johanssen, not just the "Milo" special.
I also did a small short called "Gloves" that was written by Paul Michael Mercurio, one of the Daily Show writers which did very well in many festivals here and abroad. I played a crack addicted palm reader. Very scary.

That was just a portion of the exclusive interview I plan to put up pretty soon, probably no later than 4th of July.

Now that that's gotten out of the way...

She also did "Milo: Death Of A Supermodel", a half-hour TV special that was chock full of legitimate celebrity guest stars. By considering "Milo" a bona-fide "film" (I believe the Bacon Game only goes by MOVIES, but I;m not that sure), it would be possible to link Lizz Winstead to Kevin Bacon.

Below are seven examples of the Kevin Bacon in which Lizz Winstead is linked, all using seven different celebrities who have appeared in the "Milo" special. The first three are done in three steps, which is par in the Bacon Game. The next three are done on four, and the last in five. One major rule in the Bacon Game is that you cannot try to go past six steps (hence the name "Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon").

Here are three Bacon Game examples using Buster Poindexter, Deborah Harry and, believe it or not, Joe Franklin. (You all know who Joe Franklin is, don't you? Joe Franklin in three steps... go figure!) They are all done in three steps.

This next set of examples uses Cyndi Lauper, Dr. Joyce Brothers, and Vicki Sue Robinson (yes, THE Vicki Sue Robinson, she had a tiny part in a movie years ago), all of whom also appeared in "Milo". All of these examples are done in four steps.

Okay, last one, it takes five steps, but it's a miracle that it can be done in as much steps with this subject in question... That's right, Village Voice columnist Michael Musto. There's a bit of explaining at the end, so pay attention, kids...

So what is "Night Owl," you ask? It's most likely one of those direct-to-video films. It was made in 1993. In it, Musto plays himself, and Leguizamo played "Angel". Leguizamo also appeared in "Die Hard 2", in which he played a terrorist named Burke. Bruce Willis starred as John McClane in "Die Hard 2", and he also appeared in "Billy Bathgate" as Bo Widenberg. Dustin Hoffman co-starred in "Billy Bathgate" as... well, you get the idea. The Bacon Game is fun, isn't it?

I must credit The Internet Movie Database for supplying me with all of this information. They're super, aren't they?

And yes, the guys who created the Bacon Game are super as well. Go and buy their game. It's available at select Target, K-Mart and Toys R Us stores.

So next time you're playing the Bacon Game with your friends, why not bring up Lizz Winstead? You can link her to Kevin Bacon in three steps!!!

Stop Craig Kilborn!
